Ian Ferrier, AM, Chairman
Ian Ferrier has amassed over 40 years of commercial experience, establishing Ferrier Hodgson in 1976, Australia’s premier turnaround, insolvency and reconstruction management group. Ian is director of a number of private and public companies covering a wide variety of activities and worldwide locations and has acted as chairman of the Federal Airports Corporation of Australia. He was also director of Australian Rugby Union when Australia won the 1991 and 1999 World Cups.
David Baffsky, AO
A graduate in law from the University of Sydney and in 1993, he became the Chairman of Accor Asia Pacific, the largest hotel management company in the Asia Pacific.
In June 2001, David was made an Officer in the General Division of the Order of Australia (AO). The award was made for his “service to tourism, particularly in relation to industry development, service provision and employment generation, and to the community through medical research, humanitarian relief and social welfare organisations”. In April 2003, David was awarded the Centenary Medal for “Service to Australian Society through Business Indigenous Affairs and the Arts”.
In 2004 he was awarded “Asia Pacific Hotelier of the Year”. In 2007 David was appointed to the Federal Government’s to which he is also a Director of that company.
Professor Ron Penny, AO, DSc, MD, BS, FRACP, FRCPA, Medical Director
Professor Ron Penny is one of Australia’s most prominent clinical experts. He has an outstanding record of contribution to Australia’s health care. Professor Penny is also emeritus Professor of Medicine, University of NSW, Senior Clinical Advisor for NSW Health, and is on a number of government and non-government advisory boards and medical committees.

Paul Flanagan is a clinical and organisational psychologist with extensive experience in health services, organisational consulting and services management. Professionally, Paul has consulted to many Australian and global organisations over the past 20 years, particularly in regard to employee and organisational wellbeing and performance. Paul was a primary owner and the Managing Director of the Davidson Trahaire group for many years up until the end of 2008. Paul has held various company director roles, has been President of a national, professional, association and held honorary positions at two leading universities.
Dennis Guy
Dennis Guy has demonstrated success in senior-level business development in the insurance industry across Europe, the United States, Australia and Asia for over 36 years. As managing director of Jardine Lloyd Thompson, Dennis managed over 1000 staff throughout the Asia Pacific region before retiring from this position in 2003. In 2004 he founded InterRisk Australia Pty Ltd, a new corporate insurance broker.
