EHS holds an event on Innovations and Insights in Executive Health
John Eales MC'd the event - Innovations and Insights in Executive Health covering everything from how the Executive Health Index data was collected and what it means, to some of the stress, anxiety and depression findings to discussions on the role of genome sequencing. The speakers and topics were as follows:
John Eales AM (Event MC)
John Eales is a former Australian Rugby Union captain, having played 86 tests for Australia, 55 as captain, and winning two World Cups.
John Eales provided his unique insight into the role that data has played in the management of performance in a sporting and business context.
Dr John Lang (Speaker)
John holds a PhD in Medicine from Monash University and has been a leader in the field of corporate health management for nearly three decades.
John consulted with EHS in the development of the Executive Health Index™ and provided a unique insight into the methodology and results of the Index, the benefits for industries and organisations and a global context for the findings.
Mr Paul Flanagan (Speaker)
Paul Flanagan is a clinical and organisational psychologist with over 30 years’ experience. Paul has played an integral role in shaping the wellbeing landscape from Employee Assistance Programs, workplace mental health and behavioural risk management to wellbeing strategies.
Paul discussed the psychological health results from the Executive Health Index, how this impacts organisations and a provided a global review of strategies to reduce organisational risks.
Dr Russell Howard (Speaker)
Russell is the Head of commercial strategy for Genome One (Garvan Institute of Medical Research). He holds a PhD from Melbourne University and postdoctoral studies at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute. Russel served on the World Health Organisation and USAID advisory panels for malaria vaccine development.
Russell discussed the role of Whole Genome Sequencing in Precision Medicine and Corporate Health and how this will change the future of preventative medicine in Australia.
